Dentist graduated from Universidad de la República (Uruguay) and Medicine Doktor (PhD) from Umeå University (Sweden). Full Professor of the Chair of General and Oral Physiology at Universidad de la República (Uruguay).
He has developed and implemented over 50 research works and scientific publications in the areas of orofacial pain, headaches, trigeminal neuralgia, dental occlusion, acupuncture, nanotechnology, dental sleep medicine, and artificial intelligence.
Founding member of ALDOTS (Latin American Academy of Orofacial Pain, Temporomandibular Disorders and Sleep) and director of the Multidisciplinary Research Group "Cranio-Mandibular Function and Orofacial Pain", made up of researchers from various countries.
